What is a fruit syrup?

A fruit syrup carries fruit flavour in a clear concentrate, adding colour and taste without leaving sediment. It is used wherever a drink needs fruit character — from lemonade to cocktails, from soda to iced tea. Saphori fruit syrups come in 700 ml bar bottles; one bottle yields around 23 drinks.

The Saphori fruit syrup range

Citrus: satsuma, orange, lemon and yuzu. Red fruits: pomegranate, sour cherry, cherry, raspberry, cranberry, blueberry and mixed red fruits. Tropical and summer fruits: mango, banana, kiwi, watermelon, melon, peach, green plum, pineapple, coconut, passion fruit and dragon fruit. Blue series: blue raspberry, blue strawberry and blue lemon — for colourful presentations.

Where are fruit syrups used?

  • Lemonade and soda — 1 part syrup to 8 parts liquid; roughly 110–125 ml per litre
  • Cocktails and mocktails — 20–25 ml per glass; our 10 mocktail recipes are a ready starting point
  • Milkshakes and frappés — 20–30 ml; the dose is one step higher because milk and ice cream absorb flavour
  • Iced tea — to add fruit character to a tea base; ready-made profiles are in the iced tea series

Detailed values are in our syrup dosing guide.

Fruit syrup or fruit puree?

Choose syrup where clarity and speed matter; choose fruit puree for smoothies, frozen cocktails and dessert layers that need body and real fruit texture. Combining both in one recipe is common: the puree builds texture, the syrup lifts the top note.
